Cannock Chase Trig Points Race 2017

Postby Broken Compass » Mon Jan 23, 2017 5:48 pm

A good Long Eaton turn out for this challenging race. It's not so much the difficulty of the course but the time of year (always cold and ice somewhere on the course) and also it's navigational. On the chase itself there are paths going everywhere and taking the wrong one can lose you valuable time (as found out in the past)

So it' a big congratulations to all who finished without getting lost.

Well done to Will Chang, his first race for a year and took it steady with the group and taking photos at the check points.

Well done to Liz Lakin for 2nd Lady 35 (the prize of two bottles of beer will keep Mark happy I'm sure)

Well done to Rachel Toplis for 2nd senior Lady in the results (But no prize)

Well done to Paul Stevenson for knocking off 21.28 mins from last year (but he was not held back by and old shuffler this year)

Well done and thanks to John Oleshko for keeping me going over the last few miles.

As this is in the FRA calendar I will let others enter the results in the 2017 Fell League tables when created
