May's Runner of the Month - Louise McQuade
At Long Eaton Running Club, we cater for all ages and abilities, from the 12 minute miler to the 12 miles an hour athlete. We run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, meeting at 6.30p.m. for an optional warm up session then start running at 7pm. We organise at least 2 different distances to cater for different abilities & if you are new a LERC member will stay with you so you won't get lost. After training, a few of us always go for a beer or two at a local pub, so please join us for a chat. Have a look around our site and if you fancy a run with us why not pop along one club night. We don't bite.

Runner of the Month
Congratulations to Louise McQuade
A member since 2014, Louise is hitting prime form as a V50, which is truly inspirational and proof that hard work and dedication pays off! After a casual trot around parkrun at the start of the month, Louise took on the 13.5m Woodhouse May Day Challenge coming home as 2nd LERC'er out of 21. The final week of the month is where Louise really shone though, with a remarkable 'run' of results. This began with the Trent 5, where minutes were taken off her previous best. Three days later came parkrun, where a full minute was taken off a parkrun PB that had stood for 4 years, also finishing as first V50. Finally, after collecting her LERC Winter League trophy, Louise ran her 4th PB in a row at the 10k distance, knocking nearly 3 minutes off. A sensational 7 days, that everyone dreams of, congratulations Louise
