Congratulations to Liz, who is the 1st Runner of the month for 2016. Liz has been improving month after month increasing her running distances to a great pb at the Turkey Trot half marathon sub 1:55 and most recently achieved a sub 25 minute pb for 5k. We wish you continued running success ahead.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Lakin, who is September ROTM. Liz previously won this award in January 2016. As you already know Liz is in charge of the Fell League coordination, and she is always willing to help new runners to the fells.
During September Liz took part in 2 fell races and 2 5K races. The Great Longstone Chase and the Stanage Struggle where she managed a CB in both. The great form continued as she smashed her previous 5K PB at the David Denton 5K with a 23:46. Beating her previous 2016 time.
So what’s Liz secret weapon? Long milage, plenty of hill's training or Monday Speed Session at the Derby Runner.... is only one way to find out join Liz on the next fell adventure in the near future. Like the Big Moor on the 30th of October last entry on the 14.10.2022.
