ROTM August 2024
This month’s winner is a long standing member of the club. A regular at club nights and fell races. Their penchant for hills and trails is widely known.
After a serious foot operation caused them have to time out, it is wonderful to see this determined person reaping successes in the hills! They began the month with a 15 minute PB at the Dovedale Dipper 15 and a 1st place in their age category. Three days later they joined other club mates at the Parwich Panorama fell race, for a 5.3 mile run with 650 feet of elevation. After some further hill training around the south coast paths in Devon, their goal run took place on August 31st. The Peveril 33 Ultra. This Peak Running event may be the shortest of the 3 events (33,50,100) but with 5,121 feet of climbing it’s a very tough challenge! Our braw recipient wiped 55 minutes off their previous time and bagged 1st F60 in the process. Our August Runner of the month is the lovely Lynn Andrews 👏🏽👏🏽
